1' - We're (finally) off in Portland!
6' - My ESPN stream is finally up, which is convenient. Portland win a free kick outside the box.
9' - Chance for New York! Morales takes the ball down the right wing and finds Castellanos, it's out for a corner.
12' - Some shouts for a pen as Tayvon Gray goes down on the edge of the box but it'll be a goal kick.
14' - The referee blows for a foul on George Fochive in the middle of the field; NYC want a caution but Villarreal lets him off with a final warning.
16' - Yimmi Chará finds his way into the right side of the box and tees up Blanco, but the shot is deflected.
18' - Asprilla and Gray come together near the sideline, play resumes with a throw-in.
20' - James Sands brings down Felipe Mora with a tactical foul to halt a counter.
24' - Castellanos goes to ground holding his face after a collision with Larrys Mabiala, though the contact was only to the shoulder.
26' - Blanco lofts a ball to the back post for Mora, who was unable to finish.
29' - Blanco finds himself on the ball on the left wing again but the cross is easily controlled by Johnson.
31' - Morales finds Jesús Medina in the box, who flicks it right back; Morales tries to find the far post but it's just wide.
34' - Portland on the attack for a few minutes; Maxi Morales looks to be hurt with a potential calf injury, not sure whether he'll continue much longer.
37' - The cross from Santiago Rodríguez hits the side net.
41' - GOAL NEW YORK CITY!! The free kick from Maxi Morales finds the head of Valentin Castellanos at the back post, and NYC lead! The celebrations are cut short, though, as Jesús Medina is hit in the face by an object thrown from the crowd.
45+1' - Blanco has a great attempt from just outside the box, but his shot flies just wide-left of the frame.
46' - The second half is underway!
50' - NYC win a free kick just outside the box, and it's very nearly a second for New York! It's not entirely clear whether Clark got a hand on it or not but it's a corner for the visitors.
53' - A Portland corner bounces around in the box and the Timbers desperately want a handball called on Maxime Chanot. Nothing from the ref though.
57' - Rodríguez has a shot from outside the box but it's a relatively comfortable stop from Clark.
58' - Clark with another good stop, this one denying Medina at the near post. He distributes out to the wing and the Portland attack wins a corner.
67' - A Portland cross falls at the feet of Josecarlos van Rankin just outside the six-yard box; his touch finds Asprilla, but he was offside.
75' - Yimmi Chará has a chance but the ball ends up in the hands of Johnson.

Dell Curry, the father who seeded and nurtured this force of basketball, shook his head when asked about his son’s road map to 3-point riches.
“In Chicago the other day I saw LaMelo Ball's dad at the game wearing a hat that said: I Told You So,” said Dell, mentioning the bombastic father of LaMelo and Lonzo.
“Well, my hat would say: I Had No Idea.”
On several occasions after George Karl blew his whistle to signal the end of Bucks’ practice in 1999, a curious phenomenon occurred. Instead of going home, players gathered ‘round to witness the show featuring a Holy Trinity of shooters: Allen, who was in the early stages of becoming the most prolific 3-point shooter the NBA ever saw, Dell Curry, winding down a 14-year career as the most accurate distance shooter at the time (47.6% that season) and young Steph, all of 10 years old.
The three teamed up and challenged all comers in shooting contests. “We never lost a game,” Dell says.
Karl, the coach, was so charmed by the kid that he demanded that Dell bring him whenever possible. And Allen? He told the father: “Man, do you know what you have here?”
Not long after he was born in 1988, Steph would attend his father’s games in a portable crib, and Dell noticed how “he woke up when the game started, stayed awake the whole time, then fell back to sleep when it was over.”
And Steph recalls: “When I was 3 or 4, I have faint memories of going to a Hornets game. When I was 6 they beat Boston in the first round in the playoffs and Alonzo (Mourning) hit that jumper from the free-throw line. My father was the inbounds passer on that play. So I have these strong memories of watching basketball. Maybe by osmosis and being around the environment I developed a love for it, developed an understanding of how the game was played. Then I fell in love with shooting while watching my dad. It wasn’t intentional, it was natural.”
hey everyone - Last weekend I said I'd be back once we had updates to share around near term playlist plans for Halo Infinite. I'm happy to report that a Slayer playlist is officially locked and loaded for the update next week. Four new playlists: Slayer, Fiesta, FFA, and Tactical Slayer (SWAT) will all be added via a services update on Tuesday, Dec. 14.
As I noted last week, the team's original plans for a Slayer playlist included a variety of new variants that weren't going to be ready in time to deploy before the holiday break. To address player feedback for Slayer in the near term, we'll be releasing a basic Slayer offering to start and will look to bolster and expand with more variants in a future update.
Next week's update will also include adjustments to challenges including removing some particularly frustrating mode-specific ones, reducing some requirements for others, making the weekly ultimate challenge less intensive (getting there is tough enough), and adding brand new challenges specific to the new playlists. Personally I'm eager to check out a new challenge category that's based on accumulating player score (a small initial step towards 'performance based XP'). We'll have some more details to share on Halo Waypoint next week.
Lastly, on a semi-related note - please know that the team is aware of and actively investigating reports of intermittent hiccups affecting some players in BTB over the last few days. Additionally, the team is continuing to review Ranked matchmaking and player feedback around potential anomalies.
Thank you to everyone who has shared constructive feedback and filed support tickets for issues you're running into! More to come. Have a great weekend!
