TIFU by asking a woman at the store if her boobs were real

Happened earlier today. Still physically cringing. I was buying a few things at the Hardware store for work and a woman in front of me had some plants in her arms. They were crazy colors, like insanely vibrant shades of purple, orange, red, etc.

When I got to the checkout stand she was at the one next to me still holding them in a crate box in her arms. I pointed at the plants and said “are those real?”

The look she gave me was pure taken-aback surprise and she said “excuse me?” And I was like “those flowers are super colorful, are they real?” And she was like “OH, yes they’re real” and moved the box to show me. When she moved the plants it was incredibly obvious she had doctored boobs. Like two softballs stuck on a wall. I instantly realized she thought I had asked if her tits were real, in line at the hardware store, without any prior conversation. I just kinda said nice I’ll have to check those out, finished my transaction and left. This shit never happens to me but I’m cringing hard at the look on her face when she said “excuse me?”

TL;DR: Lady at the store thought I was asking if her boobs were real when I pointed at the plants she was holding and said “are those real?”.

CMV: The most sensible thing to do if you're ever given a chance to sell your soul to Satan is to refuse, because the existence of Satan would be implicit proof of an afterlife

Stories where people sell their soul to the devil make no sense to me for one specific reason. If the devil makes you that offer, it is proof that he exists. And if he exists, then that means some sort of afterlife must exist as well, because the "trade off" for whatever gain you make from selling your soul is eternal damnation in hell.

Whereas if you just decline and live a virtuous life for the next 80 years or whatever, you get to go to heaven instead. Even if you live in the most wretched, abject poverty on Earth, suffering through 80 years of that in exchange for a good afterlife experience seems to make way more sense to me than whatever temporary comfort and eternal damnation you'd get from selling your soul.

I can't really see much of a flaw in this logic but maybe y'all can point out something I missed! :)

Edit: omg this blew up. I'm seeing a lot of good comments, I'll do my best to respond as I can throughout the day!
